“Thank you Teri. You helped rescue me and my family from what seemed like a never ending cycle of sleep deprivation...” - Suzie F.
I am committed to helping parents achieve the best possible sleep for their children. I take a supportive and gentle approach when working with families to overcome sleep deprivation and improve sleep habits. With a little bit of help, I believe any child can learn good-quality sleep from an early age. I am passionate about the enormous benefits of quality sleep and would be delighted to help you realise every parent’s dream of a good night’s sleep.
Maternal mental health and wellbeing is my other area of expertise. We are all susceptible to mood changes such as depression and anxiety however, we know that women are most vulnerable to these conditions during pregnancy and the first 12 months of their baby's life (the perinatal period). My role is to support parents to have the confidence, knowledge and skills to maximise their own wellbeing.
I am a psychologist with over ten years’ experience promoting and improving health. I draw on my expertise in a range of areas of psychology: sleep psychology, perinatal mental health and wellbeing, infant mental health and building positive bonds between parents and children. My registration with the Psychology Board of Australia ensures up to date knowledge and skills. I enjoy assisting parents within Canberra, across Australia and abroad. You can also find me working on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Garema Place Surgery (www.garemaplacesurgery.com.au) in Canberra.
My other great passion is my two young children. My boys are a delightful handful and give me the personal insight to understand the challenges faced by the parents I support.
